Plant hire pre-hire inspection checklist
If you hire out plant, a clear record of the machine's condition when it leaves and when it comes back protects you and your customer. Use this checklist at pick-up and again at return.

Frequently asked questions
Why record a machine's condition before and after hire?
A dated record with photos, hour meter and fuel level at pick-up and return gives both sides a clear reference if there is a question about damage or usage.
Can DiggerSafe record photos and signatures?
Yes. DiggerSafe lets you attach photos and a signature to an inspection, records the time and location, and creates a PDF report you can share with the customer.
Do hire customers need the app?
Operators can scan the QR sticker on the machine and complete a check in their phone's browser, with no app install and no login.
